258 pp. Green cloth with a black pictorial and black lettering on the front panel and spine. Edge and corner wear on the dustjacket with some fraying at the foot of the spine; previous owner's name and date (1919) on the front free endpaper; the front hinge is slightly loose, the rear hinge tight; and both gutters are intact. The book itself is dated 1913 but this is clearly not the 1913 edition; Scouting the Balkans was the third book in the series but the interior list is to the tenth book in the series, The Perils of an Air Ship.
