79 pp. Staple bound in pictorial card covers. Light wear at the corners with a short crease on the lower left corner of the back cover; no interior markings. Includes a black and white photograph of the McFarlane family. Haileybury, in the Timiskaming region of Northern Ontario, was a boom town from timber, farming, and the Cobalt silver strike, when Leslie McFarlane was growing up. An examination of his own early life by the author of so many of Hardy Boys books... among others. The Chapters are: Camera Recall; Arrival; The Matabanick; Autumn; Operation Mud; Education; Winter; Skates and Sleds; Cost of Living; The Catalogue; Summer; Circus Day; Day of Rest; Memorable Men; Memorable Events; and The Enduring Element.
